Post-Christmas sales got me again with these LED Fairy Lights down to $1. We put our crafty touch on them, by wrapping them in confetti circles!
As they are LED, no matter how long you leave them on, they remain cool; thus are completely safe for display in children’s bedrooms! As well as being child-friendly, the low voltage LED lights will save you on energy costs compared to other fairy lights!
Light garlands make great, inexpensive decor for backyard parties or simply to decorate your house or bedroom!
LED Battery Operated Fairy Lights
Contact Paper (cut into small circles)
Tissue Paper Confetti
Step 1. Peel the paper backing off a circle piece of contact paper and place confetti onto the sticky side.
Step 2. Place another circle of contact paper on top, sticky side down.
Step 3. Using your scissors, cut a line to the centre of your confetti circle.
Step 4. Place your light bulb into the centre of your confetti circle and wrap it around into a cone shape. This bit can be a bit tricky!
Step 5. Next, take a small piece of tape and stick it along the outside to stop in unraveling.
Step 6. Continue steps 1 – 5 until you run out of contact circles.. or light bulbs, whichever comes first!
Hang your fairy lights on your curtains or wall, and remember to make sure you keep them out of reach of younger children.
